Setting up Text Giving

1. Making a Gift as a Guest

Step 1: Scan the QR code or go to https://hopechurch.churchtrac.com/give

Step 2: Instead of signing in, Choose “Or click here to give as a Guest”

Step 3: Validate your email by entering your Name and email address, don’t forget you aren’t a robot.

Step 4: Enter the code sent to your email.

Step 5: a) Enter the amount you would like to give. b) Choose the category you are giving to by using the arrow. c) Optionally, you can choose to cover the cost of the fees charged by the credit card company by toggling the button. d) When you are ready click “next”

Step 6: Enter your credit or debit card information and click “Charge”. Bank ACH is not available without creating a login.

Step 7: A “Thank you for your gift” pop-up let you know the card was processed successfully.

2. Giving from the website/app

Why sign in? When you sign in for giving, it allows you to make ACH gifts, set up recurring and text giving. ACH gifts are not charged the additional percentage fees like credit and debit cards. And the ability to send text gifts and set up recurring gifts help take the stress out of giving. If you do not want to sign in go to “Make Gift as a Guest instructions”

Step 1: Scan the QR code or go to https://hopechurch.churchtrac.com/give

Step 1a: From there you can:

  • Create an account if you haven’t before


  • You can sign in if you have. (it is the same log in you use to log into the Hope Church app. It is not two accounts. So if you have signed in on the app, use that log in info here as well.)


Step 2. Go to step 4 under giving from the App

Giving from the App

Step 1: Open the Hope Church app on your phone.

Step 2: Scroll to the “Giving” Tile & Click/ tap

Step 3: Create an account or sign in if you already have one (it is the same log in you use to log into the app from the home screen. It is not two accounts.

Step 4: Giving Amounts and Categories

  • Enter amount
  • Use the drop down to see the giving category options & choose.

* * Note: to add a second category or make a memo, choose the “+” next to the category field and a pop-up window will open, Click “Add another” to add additional categories. Once all categories are chosen and amounts entered, Click “Close”

Step 5: Give Once or Recurring Gifts

  • You will have the option to “Give Once” or “Repeat” giving.
  • If giving once, skip to step 6.
  • If setting up a repeat gift use the drop down to determine how often, Weekly, Bi-weekly, or Monthly
  • Use the “Calendar” icon to pick a date for the gift to start

Step 6 (optional): Choose to help cover the fees

  • Use the toggle to decide if you want to help cover the cost of processing your transaction.

Step 7: Choose a Payment Source

  • Click on “Enter a New Payment Source”
  • You will have the choice between Card and US Bank Account

Step 7a: Using a Card

  • Enter the card information
  • Click Charge
  • A “Thank you for your gift” pop-up let you know the card was processed successfully.

Step 7b: Using a Bank ACH

  • Enter your email and first and last name
  • You can add your bank information two ways
    • You can use the secure connection to connect directly to your bank by using the “Search your bank” field or you can enter the details manually by clicking “Enter bank details manually instead” under the list of bank tiles.

Step 7b cont’d:

  • Go through the set-up of whichever connection method you decide on.
  • If you chose the direct connection method, you will enter your online banking credentials and there will be some additional verification steps the set-up wizard will take you through.
  • If you chose the manual set up you will input your bank account and routing information.
  • Once completed, click “Charge”

A “Thank you for your gift” pop-up let you know the gift was accepted and is pending bank approval.

3. Change, Cancel a Recurring Transaction

To change a recurring transaction you will need to cancel it and then re-establish a new recurring amount or make one time or text gifts.

Step 1: Scan the QR code or go to https://hopechurch.churchtrac.com/give

Step 5: Click “Yes, Cancel”

Step 2: Sign in

Step 6: Create a new recurring donation

Step 4: Click the “X” next to your next donation date

Step 3: Choose the “gear” icon to the right of Choose a Payment Source. This will open a pop-up window to show your next recurring payment.

Step 2: Sign in - you can only text give if signed in

Step 3: Choose the “gear” icon to the right of Choose a Payment Source. This will open a pop-up window to show Text Giving Set up

4. Set up Text Giving

Step 4: Enter your mobile number

Step 5: Enter the validation code sent to your phone & Click “Submit”

Step 6a: If you have already entered other payment methods, it will ask you to choose which one you want to use for Text Giving

Step 6b: If you need to set up a payment method, close out of text giving and go to Step 7 of Giving from Website/App instructions and then come back or follow prompts to add a payment method.

Step 7: Once a payment source has been added successfully you will get the below pop up and a text to your phone with the instructions for how to give
